Background:
A new purpose-built Animal Hospital in Kuwait
requires an experienced small-animal veterinary nurse.
Responsibilities will be mainly clinical with client
relations forming an important secondary aspect. The successful applicant will be experienced in general
clinical nursing practice and capable of applying RCVS (or
equivalent) nursing standards in a multicultural
environment.

Overall responsibility
Patient and client care in a new, purpose built, small
animal veterinary clinic in Kuwait
Key areas of responsibility
- Daily outpatient nursing
consultations / dispensing
- In-patient surgical and
medical nursing care
- Pharmacy dispensing
- Nursing assistant
organisation including contribution to performance
reviews.
- Application of high
clinical and professional standards (RCVS or equivalent)
throughout the new centre.
Consults with
- Support staff
- Veterinary Surgeons
- All levels of management
Term of employment
12 months, renewable by agreement no later than 9 months
after start.
Qualifications
- Recognised (RCVS or
equivalent) veterinary nursing qualifications
- Experience
with routine medical and surgical nursing caseload
- Strong sense of client
service
- Ability to communicate with
different cultures where English is not a first
language, and to a wide range of education levels.
- Good organizational skills
- Self motivation
- Proficient with Microsoft
word and Microsoft Outlook
- Driving license
