description: Veterinary Surgeon,
Royal Animal Hospital , Kuwait
Background:
A new purpose-built Animal Hospital in Kuwait
requires a small-animal veterinary surgeon. Responsibilities
will be mainly clinical with client relations forming an
important secondary aspect.
The successful applicant will be experienced in
general clinical practice and capable of applying RCVS (or
equivalent) standards in a multicultural environment.

Martin Wyness (BVC Consultancy)
/ Ziad Adel (House of Development, Kuwait)
Overall responsibility
Patient and client care in a new, purpose built, small
animal veterinary clinic in Kuwait
Key areas of responsibility
- Daily outpatient
consultations
- In-patient treatment,
surgical and medical
- Nursing team / assistant
organisation including contribution to performance
reviews.
- Application of high
clinical and professional standards (RCVS or equivalent)
throughout the new centre.
Consults with
- Support staff
- All levels of management
Term of employment
12 months, renewable by agreement no later than 9 months
after start.
Qualifications
- Veterinary degree
recognised by RCVS (or equivalent)
- Experience with routine
medical and surgical caseload including
- high
level of competence with bitch spays and
- some
ability in orthopaedics (simple fractures)
- Strong sense of client
service
- Ability to communicate with
different cultures where English is not a first
language, and to a wide range of education levels.
- Good organizational skills
- Self motivation
- Proficient with Microsoft
word and Microsoft Outlook
